General Information
Where is Vatsalyam located?
We are located in Shimla, surrounded by quiet forested hills, just a short drive from the main town. The location is exactly 4 kms from Auckland tunnel passing through Radisson hotel. The distance from the Mall road is 4.5 kms.

Check-in is from 1 PM to 9 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM.

Guests can check in using any local or outstation government-issued ID proof with address on it. (PAN cards are not accepted.) International guests are required to provide their passport/visa details and sign the C-form on arrival.

We accept cash and UPI at the property. Cards can only be used for online bookings via Airbnb and Booking.com. For bookings through Booking.com under Pay at Property mode only cash and UPI is acceptable or a Bank transfer in advance has to be made.

You will have a private space, but you will be sharing some areas with other guests and the hosts. So, please be respectful of everyone’s space and privacy.

Accommodation & Amenities
Yes, all rooms provide the same view of a forest in front with a backdrop of Shimla Town.
All rooms have large windows, a seating area, a private bathroom with modern toiletries, a shower, high speed internet and luggage assistance.

Daily housekeeping is offered (10 AM to 2 PM). Rooms service is only available for Tea/Coffee. Food is not allowed in the rooms as we have a separate dining area for the same.

Yes, both are available on request and are chargeable. We have a separate washing machine for guests which can be used at a reasonable charge of Rs. 250 per cycle (Weight Not Exceeding 6 Kg – Detergent would be provided).

Yes, all bathrooms have access to 24×7 hot and cold water.

Dining & Food Policy
We serve Breakfast and Dinner. The prices mentioned are inclusive of breakfast however dinner is chargeable extra. The food served is only vegetarian and is prepared fresh, hence for dinner service we need to be informed by 4 PM.
No, the apartments (Studio and Cedar-Family apartment) are only on self cooking basis and food is not provided for the guests staying there. However, the kitchen in the apartments is fully equipped with Gas Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave Oven etc and the grocery store is just 1 minute walk from the property. The apartment guests can also use platforms like Zomato , Swiggy to order food or can even walk to a nearby food stall for a normal meal.

No, we serve only vegetarian food, but it is wholesome and varied.

Activities & Outdoor Experiences
Guests can enjoy treks, temple visits, nature walks, and local village tours.

Yes, we can organize treks, hikes, and other outdoor activities with prior notice. These are chargeable.

Yes, guests can visit nearby villages and interact with local communities.

Parking & Smoking Policy

Yes, we provide free on-site parking for guests.

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms but is permitted on the balcony, terrace, or outside the property.

Extra Guests & Charges

Extra Person can only be accommodated in a Family Room besides the base occupancy of 2 persons.

Children below 5 years stay free but for age above 5 yrs an extra bed costs ₹800 per night (Breakfast Included).
